Robenson Lauvince is an award-winning Haitian filmmaker, director, producer, and founder of Clearshot Film Studios, a Haitian-American film and video production company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Working across narrative film, television, documentaries, and music videos, Lauvince has built his career around bringing Haitian and Caribbean stories to broader audiences and increasing the presence of Caribbean voices within the entertainment industry. His filmmaking career developed through independent productions including Message Sent, Loyal-T, and Married Men, projects that earned recognition for writing, directing, and producing and established his ability to lead productions from creative development through execution. In 2025, Lauvince reached a major career milestone with the theatrical release of his political feature film, July 7: Who Killed the President of Haiti? The Haitian Creole-language feature reached theatrical box-office markets in the United States, Canada, and the Dominican Republic, bringing a distinctly Haitian story, language, and perspective to audiences across multiple countries and expanding the international theatrical presence of Haitian cinema. Lauvince’s work in film and the Caribbean creative community has also received recognition from civic and government institutions. On May 20, 2025, the City of Miami officially proclaimed Robenson Lauvince Day, recognizing his accomplishments and contributions. On November 6, 2025, he received a Governor’s Citation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, followed by recognition from the City of Boston on November 7, 2025. On June 26, 2026, he received a Community Recognition Award from the City of North Lauderdale, honoring his creative achievements, community impact, and leadership within Haitian and Caribbean cinema. His career and projects have been featured by media and entertainment platforms including Deadline, Miami Herald, SHEEN Magazine, New York Weekly, Island Origins, and IMDb. In 2024, Lauvince was selected to represent the Caribbean during a Sundance panel presented by Netflix and Afrika Haus, joining a conversation focused on the future, opportunities, and international reach of African and Caribbean film industries. Through Clearshot Entertainment, Lauvince has extended his work beyond directing and producing his own projects. His focus includes developing emerging filmmakers, creating opportunities for new creative voices, and building pathways for Haitian and Caribbean productions to reach wider domestic and international audiences. At the center of Lauvince’s work is a straightforward belief: Caribbean stories deserve access to the same screens, audiences, and opportunities as stories from anywhere else in the world.
